Romina

Romina, an employee at Concurrent Real-TimeRomina is a software engineer on the NightStar tools team as well as a release engineer for Concurrent Real-Time’s RedHawk Linux products. Starting out as an intern, she now works full-time on the NightStar suite of five tools that allow end-users to analyze and debug real-time operating systems. Holding a Bachelor of Sciences in both Computer Science and Environmental Science, she is passionate about applications of technology that better our world and help solve some of humanity’s biggest challenges. Being part of the Concurrent Real-Time family, whose cutting-edge technology in deterministic software, operating systems, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, allows her to do just that.

Valmer

Valmer, an employee at Concurrent Real-TimeValmer earned his bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). During the summer between his junior and senior years at FAU, Valmer accepted an internship on the Concurrent Real-Time Linux Operating Systems team. During his internship, Valmer completed projects that provided valuable experience with real-time, Linux, and virtualization while under the mentoring of highly experienced software engineers. Upon graduating, he accepted a full-time role as a software engineer on the Linux OS team where he continues to gain valuable experience and works with his team to develop RedHawk Linux hard real-time solutions.

Internship Program

Our internship program is intended to provide a learning opportunity in a professional working environment for undergraduate and graduate students in engineering and computer science. Our interns bring us new perspective, specialized strengths and skill sets while learning from experienced employees on navigating the product development and deliverable life cycle.

Our program helps interns develop soft skills like professionalism, leadership, and effective communications in preparation for a full-time position.

FAQ

What qualifications do you look for in a student?

We seek students with high academic achievements who have a desire to learn, grow, and become technical and subject matter experts.

What majors do you accept?

We focus on computer science- and engineering-related majors but also select other majors based on current needs.

Do you hire high school students and graduates or just undergraduates?

Most of our interns are college students, but we also consider high school students.

Where are your internships located?

Currently, our internships are located in our corporate headquarter facilities in Pompano Beach, FL.

What are the dates for the program?

Our internships last 8-10 weeks and are usually scheduled to start in May or June and end in July or August, but we have flexibility and make decisions based on current needs.

Do you hire students who need sponsorship to work in the U.S.?

Due to the nature of our work, we typically do not hire students who require sponsorships, but exceptions may be made.

    Responsible for performing rework and repair of Printed Circuit boards per IPC 610 Class II standards. Must have soldering skills to handle fine pitch parts. In addition, job requires ability to build custom cables requiring additional soldering skills. Also must be able to use tools to cut, strip, crimp and install each pin for these custom cables.
